TouchTunes Music Corporation, the largest on-location digital entertainment network, today announced highlights of its exclusive Listening Party with Wyclef Jean to preview his new album, “Carnival Vol. II: Memoirs of an Immigrant.” The standing room only event took place this past Monday at the Alligator Lounge in Brooklyn, NY. The party was sponsored by TouchTunes and was the last of a series of parties held across the country to highlight the advanced availability of Wyclef’s latest album, “Carnival Vol. II: Memoirs of an Immigrant,” on TouchTunes digital music systems. Wyclef spent the evening at the Alligator Lounge hanging out with fans, signing autographs and chatting about what inspired the music on his latest album. The Wyclef album has been available on 15,000 TouchTunes leading digital music systems nationwide since November 26th, giving fans the chance to enjoy Wyclef's newest album a week before it hit store shelves on December 4th. Beginning on November 26, participating TouchTunes locations featured a series of on-screen billboards that created awareness for the album's first single, "Sweetest Girl (Dollar Bill)" as well as Wyclef's new documentary film, "Cry Haiti." Listeners were also able to respond to an interactive survey about the new album and had the opportunity to join Wyclef's fan club. Additionally, Wyclef's record label, Columbia Records, distributed 50,000 co-branded postcards throughout its network of influencers across the country.

“It was terrific that Wyclef joined us to celebrate the release of his new album the night before it went on-sale,” said Ron Greenberg, TouchTunes CMO and senior vice president of digital media at TouchTunes. “We had a great time, and for all the Wyclef fans, it was an unforgettable experience to hang out with one of their favorite artists in a neighborhood bar – and have him personally present the exclusive album preview. Our listening parties also showcased all the benefits we can bring to music labels, artists, operators and location owners by leveraging TouchTunes digitally-connected venues – by far the most in the business – for promoting new music.”
