In Partnership with Rising Star Emerson Hart, TouchTunes to Survey Network on Relationships, Just in Time for Valentine's Day
The Grammy-Nominated Singer's Music Inspires E-Card Web Site for Holiday
NEW YORK CITY - Jan. 30, 2008 - TouchTunes Corporation, the largest out-of-home interactive entertainment network, has teamed up with EMI/Manhattan Records to promote new music from EMI's famed catalog. The partnership features the newest album from Grammy-nominated musician Emerson Hart on select jukeboxes on the TouchTunes network, including Hart's single "I Wish the Best For You" from his solo debut album Cigarettes and Gasoline (EMI/Manhattan). An accompanying survey on breaking up, making up and the trials of romantic relationships will pose questions to bar and restaurant patrons on 1,000 jukeboxes nationwide, January 29 - February 15.
Additionally, Hart and EMI/Manhattan launched the Web site IWishTheBestForYou.com, where fans can create a unique and original Valentine's Day e-card for soon-to-be exes, friends and lovers. Hart's music, both passionate and heart-breaking, is the perfect way to let your Valentine down gently.
The TouchTunes relationship survey, available today, includes questions about good and bad break-ups, getting and staying together, and romantic relationships of all kinds. The survey will be open to 1,000 TouchTunes jukeboxes in Denver, St. Louis, Des Moines, Norfolk (VA), Phoenix, Cleveland, Chicago, Boston, Orlando, Nashville, Salt Lake City, and New York City. TouchTunes' previous survey, released for one week during the winter holidays, generated more than 84,500 responses.
"We're extremely focused on bringing the best music to our customers and engaging them in new and creative ways," said Ron Greenberg, TouchTunes' chief marketing officer and senior vice president of digital media. "We've found that surveys are one great, fun way to capture the attention of our growing audience. The surveys always yield very interesting and sometimes hilarious responses. We're definitely looking forward to seeing what comes from this one."
Emerson Hart was formerly the frontman and primary songwriter for the platinum-selling rock group Tonic, best known for the single "If You Could Only See" and the Grammy-nominated single "Take Me As I Am," and album Head on Straight. His current album, Cigarettes and Gasoline, has scored Hart a Hot AC Radio smash hit with the debut single "If You're Gonna Leave," while his current single "I Wish The Best For You" continues to climb the charts.
Record labels leverage TouchTunes' leading interactive network to generate buzz around new releases. "TouchTunes reaches millions of people across the country every day," said Greenberg. "It's a network filled with music fans - plus they're in the most desirable demographic groups - really, the perfect audience for labels to connect with."
