TouchTunes Music Corporation, the world leader in digital-downloading jukeboxes, has promoted company and industry veteran Dan McAllister to the new position of senior vice president, sales and marketing.
Previously, McAllister was TouchTunes’ vice president, sales and marketing, a position he held since 2004.
He reports directly to TouchTunes’ President and CEO John Perrachon.
McAllister joined TouchTunes in 1997 as its first director of sales, setting up a sales organization in preparation for the 1998 launch of the company’s – and the world’s – first coin-operated digital-downloading jukebox. In 2002, he was appointed vice president, sales.
Before joining TouchTunes, McAllister was national sales manager for jukebox maker Rock-Ola Manufacturing Corp. and national sales manager for countertop games manufacturer Merit Industries.
McAllister is a 1988 graduate of Babson College in Massachusetts, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and entrepreneurship studies.
TouchTunes’ online network of nearly 20,000 coin-operated, pay-per-play jukeboxes is by far the industry’s largest, representing an estimated 75 percent market share, the company says. More than 90 percent of the jukeboxes are broadband enabled. The company serves 1,800 jukebox operators in North America.
A private U.S. corporation, TouchTunes’ principal offices are in Lake Zurich, Ill., a Chicago suburb, and Montreal.
