Art Matin President, Chief Executive Officer
Art MatinArt Matin, a former global business manager for IBM Corporation and senior executive of several technology companies, has joined digital-jukebox leader TouchTunes Music Corporation as president and chief executive officer. Matin was also named to TouchTunes’ board of directors. Matin brings more than two decades of wide-ranging business experience to TouchTunes, with an emphasis on customer-focused sales, marketing, and product development. Prior to joining TouchTunes, Matin was chief executive of Softricity, a venture-backed software company acquired by Microsoft Corp. in 2006. He was executive vice president of worldwide sales for Veritas, a data and storage management company with annual revenues of more than $2 billion and more than 5,000 employees. As president of McAfee, best known for its anti-virus software, he accounted for revenues of $750 million annually and successfully established multiple channel initiatives and partnerships focused on accelerating customer adoption and market share expansion, especially in consumer segments. During his 20 years with IBM, Matin held a variety of management positions, including overseeing sales to large corporate customers in the Asia-Pacific region while based in Tokyo, as well serving as general manager of IBM’s industrial sector in the Americas. A native of Albany, N.Y., Matin received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Rochester (1978) and an MBA degree from the University of Chicago (1980).
Steve Birrell VP & General Manager - National Accounts
Steve BirrellIn his role as Vice President & General Manager - National Accounts, Steve is responsible for the development and execution of the national account business with a focus on the restaurant, retail and hospitality markets. Steve brings more than 20 years of management, sales and business development experience in software, hardware and consulting services with both Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial companies. Prior to joining TouchTunes, Steve served as Vice President Global Sales for SkyWave Mobile Communications where he managed over 60 channel partners in 40 countries. During his more than 20 years in the technology industry in Canada, U.S. and internationally, Steve has held numerous executive positions with multinational corporations. This experience included his role as National Vice President Sales for PeopleSoft Canada. Having also held sales positions with Hewlett Packard and Digital Equipment, Steve is well positioned to lead the TouchTunes National Accounts division and drive value for the company and its clients.
Dominique Dion Vice President, Research and Development
Dominique DionDominique Dion is Vice President, Research and Development for TouchTunes and has been with the company since 1997. Dominique was an original member of the TouchTunes team and helped successfully launch the Genesis, the world’s first coin-operated, digital downloading jukebox in 1998. In 2000, he worked closely with TouchTunes co-founder Guy Nathan to introduce the company’s Maestro jukebox to rave reviews. Today he is responsible for all software efforts related to TouchTunes jukeboxes. Dominique has more than fifteen years of software development experience. Until 1993 he primarily developed software to be used in the public safety domain for the engineering firm of CIMA+. With a team of partners, Dominique started his own company in 1993 to develop software destined for the e-commerce, entertainment and Internet-based industries until he joined TouchTunes in 1997. Dominique has recently completed his MBA.
Ron Greenberg Chief Marketing Officer & Senior Vice President, Digital Media
Ron GreenbergRon Greenberg is Chief Marketing Officer & Senior Vice President, Digital Media, at TouchTunes Music Corporation. He brings years of marketing experience from ad agencies and in hi-tech companies, his work ranging from consumer packaged goods, World Cup and Olympic sponsorship programs, to consumer electronics. Greenberg was Vice President of Marketing for IBM for Asia Pacific, based in Tokyo, and then held senior worldwide marketing positions at IBM headquarters. He also was General Manager, Global Marketing for Microsoft’s Enterprise & Partner Group, based in Redmond, WA.
Laurie Hughes Vice President, Business Affairs, Music Rights and Licensing
Laurie HughesLaurie Hughes serves as Vice President, Business Affairs, Music Rights and Licensing at TouchTunes and brings many years of legal expertise in the music industry. Laurie was previously Assistant Vice President, Director of Business Affairs for ASCAP (the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) where her responsibilities included devising and negotiating ASCAP’s licenses for businesses and industry associations. From 1984-1995, Laurie held several positions at SESAC, another performing rights organization, ultimately serving as Vice President, Legal & International Affairs. A graduate of Smith College and Memphis State University Law School, Laurie has been a featured speaker at the Kagan Video on Demand conference, International Municipal Lawyers Association and the National Speakers Association. She is a former trustee of the Copyright Society of the USA, and a member of the Copyright Society of the South and Tennessee Bar Association.
Chris Marcolefas Vice President, Operations
Chris MarcolefasChris Marcolefas is Vice President of Operations at TouchTunes. He has held this position since June 2004 and is responsible for manufacturing, purchasing, inventory management, warehousing, shipping, warranty management, as well as information technology operations. Chris has been with TouchTunes since January 1998, holding various positions, such as, Director Finance, Chief Financial Officer, Vice President Business Development and Consultant. Prior to joining TouchTunes, Chris held management positions at the NBG Bank and was a senior auditor at Ernst & Young. He received his Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1989 and Diploma in Accountancy in 1990 from Concordia University in Montreal. Chris is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Dan McAllister Senior Vice President Sales
Dan McAllisterDan McAllister is Senior Vice President, Sales for TouchTunes Corporation and oversees the company’s international sales initiatives. Dan has been a TouchTunes team member since 1997 when he came on as Director of Sales and played an instrumental role in launching the company’s internet-based products and services. Through the years, he rapidly progressed and now manages all aspects of sales and marketing from the company’s Pennsylvania sales office. Dan brings more than 16 years of invaluable experience in the technology and coin-op industries to his role as VP. Throughout his career, Dan has worked with industry giants including Sales Technologies, a division of Dun and Bradstreet, Merit Industries, where he served as Director of Sales and Rock-Ola Manufacturing where he took on the role of National Sales Manager. Dan is a graduate of Babson College in Massachusetts where he completed his Bachelor of Science degree.
Guy Nathan Executive Vice President, Technology and Director
Guy NathanGuy Nathan is Executive Vice President, Technology and Director of TouchTunes and is one of the company’s founding partners. Guy’s extensive background in research & development and telecommunications, coupled with his in-depth knowledge of the patent process, are invaluable to the advancements of the TouchTunes team. Guy is an esteemed inventor, having patented over 100 intellectual property inventions since 1965. He has founded numerous R&D companies specializing in a variety of highly innovative products, such as microradars for military use, videodiscs using laser and CD technology, high-efficiency DC motors and interactive cable TV. He has also founded several companies for the purpose of promoting and marketing his inventions.
